Peter McEntee, MSW, LICSW

Peter McEntee, MSW, LICSW, is a clinical social worker with over 35 years of experience as a psychotherapist. Before joining FPG in 2013, he was an integral part of the Behavioral Medicine Program at Cambridge Health Alliance for two decades. Originally trained in traditional, psychodynamic psychotherapy, early in his career he sought out additional training and study in cognitive-behavioral treatment (CBT) and behavior therapy, eventually making these his primary approaches. Mr. McEntee’s professional activities have included individual and group psychotherapy with adults, public speaking, teaching and training, supervision, and consultation to mental health and medical professionals. He has been a Lecturer in Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, and has also served as a Clinical Instructor at both Simmons College School of Social Work and Smith College School of Social Work.
